Clarence Vaughn
Clarence Vaughn is a former NFL strong safety and two-time Super Bowl champion with Washington. In his first NFL start, he made an immediate impact with 13 solo tackles and later delivered a pivotal postseason sack that helped propel the team to a Super Bowl XXII victory. He is the first and only Northern Illinois University player to win two Super Bowls. Recognized as one of NIU’s Top 50 Athletes, he was inducted into the NIU Hall of Fame as part of the 1983 California Bowl championship team.
After his playing career, Vaughn transitioned into coaching and leadership roles at the high school, collegiate, and NFL levels, applying the principles of preparation, accountability, and teamwork to developing others.
